I am a certified Health and Wellness Coach, Grandfamilies Success Advocate, Trauma Transformational Coach, Journal Therapy and Art Therapy Technique Coach.
The last 6 years we have been raising our grandchildren. This has been a monumental undertaking. There has been great joy, and deep sorrow. Through it all we have grown as much as the children have. Reaching out for help, and re-educating ourselves was crucial. We have become part of a family of other Grandfamilies in our local area. I ran a small support group, and coached grandmothers in their new role as Momma again. Transitioning into a Grandfamily, is traumatic. Not only for the children, but the Grandparents as well. Self-care is paramount in your new life situation. If grandma ain’t happy…well, you know the rest. Blessings to you and your Grand Family.
What People Are Saying
I met Rachel when she came to our church to do a presentation about Grandfamilies today. I wanted to know more, as my husband and I were new at this “raising our grandboys” thing. So we began meeting for coffee.
We met often, sometimes nearly every week. We got to know each other, pray with each other and share our struggles and joys raising our grandchildren.
Rachel is a loving mother of 10 of her own children and now a mom of 2 more precious grandchildren.
She has experience, wisdom, and is a fantastic encourager! She coached me through several melt-downs and was very present for me. I love her and her family.

Grandparent
Rachel Mahnke understands the good and bad realities of life because she has lived it. It is her life experiences that allow her to empathize and relate to others so effectively. And the lessons she has learned have powerfully equipped her to help others make the most of their lives. I know Rachel well, and have seen her impact upon others. She is a life Coach who really can coach you to make the most of your life and to bring more in doing it.
